AROUND THE WORLD CHINA connect 2018 • 86 November, 2017 180 guests were welcomed at the Hong Kong Island Shangri-La ballroom for the 2nd Annual Gala Dinner hosted by The Ireland Funds China. Proceeds from the evening were in aid of Crossroads Foundation. The early evening entertainment commenced with schoolgirls Elyse Tin Yee CHOI playing Strauss “Nocturno Opus 7” on Cello and Violinist Yi Jie Ding whose performance of “Theme from Schlinder’s List” brought many of the guests to tears, and secured her a donor to support her multiple trips weekly from Foshan China to practice in Hong Kong. For Crossroads Foundation, David Begbie provided their heartfelt history and development in connecting with people in need.David Livingstone, a Crossroads beneficiary, shared the stage with founder Sally Begbie.
