b'SPRING / SUMMER / 2020ConnectDear Friends,Welcome to the latest edition of Connect magazine. This year is off to an exciting start. We, along with our new Vice Chairman Shaun Kelly, recently spent time in Ireland meeting with the President of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins to discuss the impact of The Ireland Funds and how we can continue to strategically strengthen the island of Ireland. The appreciation that was expressed for what you have helped us achieve so far, only inspires us to do more in the year ahead. This Spring/Summer issue is all about opportunity. Opportunities provided by Sensational Kids for families and children to receive key therapeutic services. Opportunities provided by the Trinity Centre for People with Intellectual Disabilities for its students to have equal chances for employment. Opportunities offered by Enactus to develop big social entrepreneurship ideas that result in positive societal change. All of these opportunitieshave a common denominator: they have the support of The Ireland Funds. That support is made possible by you, our Donors, and for that we are immensely grateful. Your involvement is the engine which drives the stories you will read about here.Another great headline is the next generation of six projects that will share 500,000 from our most recent Flagship Grant Round. These two-year investments of significant financial support can be game-changing for organizations seeking to bring their programs to the next level of impact. In addition, we are proud to have made an equal investment of 500,000 in our Small Grants Round which will deliver smaller, crucial grants to 90 community organizations. We hear over and over that these are often the seeds needed to nourish work at a grassroots level in communities across Ireland. TheFlagship Grant Round, the Small Grants Round, your Donor-Advised gifts and other supports are what enable us to efficiently invest in the work of non-profit organizations that need it most. Were excited to return withstories and updates on what your investment has accomplished. We nourish all this together, with you, our Donors. We are committed to being the very best partner and steward of your philanthropic investments for Ireland. Without you, none of this is possible and we thank you for your belief in our work and mission.Kind regards,Gene McQuadeDavid Cronin Chairman,President & CEO,The Ireland Funds America The Ireland Funds Americaconnect 20203'
