The Australian Ireland Fund Young Leaders Networking Breakfast took place at Colliers June 2012. Over 50 Young Professionals, of Irish and Australian descent, were treated to talks from Jonathan Nicholas, CEO of Inspire and Dr Tim Sharp aka Dr Happy.
Young Leader Brendan Sheehan, explained the history of The Ireland Funds and the current projects we are involved with in both Ireland and Australia. Jonathan Nicholas spoke about what Inspire are doing to help young people going through tough times mentally including their recent expansion into Ireland. Dr. Sharp spoke about the things in life that make us happy, for example connectedness which is one of the things The Australian Ireland Fund provides – connections with like-minded people, a sense of belonging, and the bonus is that we are helping others less fortunate than ourselves at the same time.
David Creavan, wrapped up the event. He introduced himself to those in attendance and thanked the Guest Speakers.
