The Annual National Gala generates support for the work of The Ireland Funds as the organization is one of the largest private grant makers to the nonprofit sector in Ireland. In 2022, The Ireland Funds worldwide provided grants totaling more than $18 million to roughly 300 non-profits.

“The Ireland Funds’ Annual National Gala has become a spotlight event every March in Washington, D.C. We are honored to have both the Speaker of the House and the Senate Majority Leader joining us as well as the Taoiseach visiting from Ireland,” said Caitriona Fottrell, President & CEO of The Ireland Funds. “It’s a night to come together, thank our donors, and celebrate the deep connections that have been formed between the United States and the island of Ireland.”

This year’s Gala will commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Good Friday Agreement, the historic peace agreement reached in 1998 to end the decades of conflict in the Northern Ireland. Peace and reconciliation have been a core tenet for The Ireland Funds since its founding and the organization has supported hundreds of Northern Ireland-based organizations through its history.

All media must RSVP in advance for on-site coverage as space is limited.
