The Ireland Funds Great Britain is working with Charity People to recruit a Fundraising and Operations Executive.

The Ireland Funds Great Britain is a chapter of a global network and is dedicated to supporting Ireland and the Irish diaspora in Great Britain. The Ireland Funds is a network of friends of Ireland dedicated to creating a positive social impact and making a real difference to communities in need. They raise funds to support community, culture, education, and peace in Ireland and in Irish communities around the world. The Ireland Funds GB is a small charity with a big mission, operating as an individual organisation, raising funds through donations and grants to make a positive impact to support Ireland and the Irish diaspora in Great Britain.

The Fundraising and Operations Executive will play a crucial role in managing various aspects of The Ireland Funds GB fundraising activities and day-to-day operations. The post holder will work closely with the Executive Director and be responsible for grants administration, event coordination, stakeholder communications, and overseeing the Young Leaders Society. This is a varied and exciting role that offers the opportunity to engage with donors, supporters, beneficiaries, and trustees.

Key Responsibilities

♦ You will lead on donor and grants administration, including maintaining accurate records of donations, donors, and grants, issuing thank you letters, receipts, and gift aid forms to maintain strong donor relations, coordinating the annual grant round, including grants committee meetings and due diligence checks, managing a portfolio of donors, providing excellent stewardship, and identifying and researching major individual and corporate donors.

♦ You will oversee the Young Leaders Society, recruiting new members, building and nurturing relationships with current members, and collaborating with the Young Leaders Chair and Steering Committee on strategy and member events.

♦ You will support events by assisting in creating and organising fundraising initiatives and events, conducting research for event venues and suppliers, managing ticket and table sales, including invoicing, providing on-site support during events, ensuring smooth operations and collecting pledges using our online payments platform.

♦ You will support communications, project managing the production of our annual Impact Report and Grant Round summary, coordinating the distribution of our quarterly e-newsletter, assisting with marketing and PR activities, including press releases and social media management.

♦ You will lead on administration, maintaining and promoting best use of the Salesforce database, handling day-to-day administrative tasks, ensuring efficiency, and providing support to the Executive Director as needed.

The Fundraising and Operations Executive will be self-motivated and able to work collaboratively in a small team. You will be a strong, passionate communicator and able to build rapport with people and stakeholders at all levels. You will have demonstrable experience in fundraising, events, or marketing administration, with excellent organisation skills. You will be a diligent team member, with strong attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task and adapt within a busy working environment. You will be proficient in Microsoft♦ Office 365 applications and a CRM database, ideally Salesforce. Knowledge or interest in Ireland, Irish culture, and the charitable sector is desirable.
