The Ireland Funds COVID-19 Response Fund
As the world faces the unprecedented challenge of the COVID-19 pandemic, The Ireland Funds has come alongside the organizations we support with aid for immediate and long-term needs.
Cancer Fund for Children
Every week across the island of Ireland, 10 children are diagnosed with cancer. The Ireland Funds is helping Cancer Fund for Children support families and children so they are never facing cancer alone.
The Ireland Funds is helping fight elderly isolation across Ireland, one phone call at a time. Leitrim Calling is a friendly confidential telephone call support service available to older and vulnerable persons primarily across south of Co. Leitrim and its borders.
Community Action Network
Community Action Network (CAN) was founded in 1987 to respond to the pressing issues of high unemployment, poor housing, endemic poverty, and the early days of the heroin epidemic in Dublin city. With help from The Ireland Funds, CAN is showing communities how to tackle overwhelming challenges at the grassroots level.
Depaul is a cross-border charity established in 2002 in the Republic of Ireland and 2005 in Northern Ireland. The Ireland Funds is helping this pioneering organization as it focuses on homelessness and supporting the most vulnerable in society.
With help from The Ireland Funds, COPE Galway is providing essential homeless, domestic abuse and senior support services for the men, women, children and young people of Galway.
Fighting Words Northern Ireland
Fighting Words Northern Ireland is part of a growing network of creative writing centers for children and young people across the world that share a common ethos: a belief that creativity can and should be fostered as part of the education of every child and that this task is the responsibility of the whole community.
Learning Hub Limerick
This extraordinary educational space offers children and families a place to learn new skills, explore music, science, exercise, art and other pursuits. Most importantly, it nurtures a desire to learn while listening to the community and its needs.
The Ireland Funds Business Plan Competition
Since 2012, The Ireland Funds has run its annual Business Plan Competition that seeks to nurture creativity and hone the entrepreneurial skills of Ireland’s next-generation business leaders.
The George Moore Scholars
One of the pillars of The Ireland Funds’ mission is education. The Ireland Funds invests in high-quality education by supporting programs that widen access to and participation in third-level education, and extend a broad range of learning opportunities for students of all ages. The George Moore Scholars program is an ambitious initiative to offer extraordinary academic support to some of Ireland’s best and brightest students.
