The Ireland Funds Women in Business and Philanthropy Lunch took place in the Garden Room at The Merrion, Dublin, on Wednesday 9 October.
This year’s event honoured Anne Finucane, Former Vice Chair of Bank of America and Chair of Bank of America Europe, in recognition of her outstanding contributions to business, philanthropy, and civic engagement.
The afternoon began with a warm welcome from Siobhán Gallagher, Executive Director of The Ireland Funds, who shared highlights of the organisation’s recent impact, including support for initiatives such as Music Generation. Guests were treated to a special performance by musician Jimmy Maguire, showcasing the transformative power of arts and education. A fireside-style conversation between honouree Anne Finucane and designer Louise Kennedy offered insights into Ms. Finucane’s pioneering career in global finance, her commitment to social responsibility, and her deep connection to Ireland. The discussion was followed by a special presentation to Ms. Finucane in recognition of her leadership and philanthropic legacy.
