A night of merriment while raising money to support programs of peace and reconciliation, arts and culture, education and community
development throughout the island of Ireland.
Patriot Award Honoree
Dillon Behr Dillon was part of a unit of U.S. Army Green Berets who ventured into Afghanistan’s remote Shok Valley in April 2008 on a mission to take out leaders of an insurgent group who had set up their base in a local village. After ascending two miles up a mountain slope to their destination, the Green Berets were spotted by the enemy and suddenly found themselves under fierce attack, and had to fight a desperate seven-hour battle. Dillon’s story “To Hell and Back” was featured on Nat Geo in July as part of a series called “No Man Left Behind”
