Washington, D.C. National Gala 2025

The Ireland Funds hosted its 33rd National Gala at the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C. on March 13, 2025. The event raised over $1 million for the vital work of The Ireland Funds in communities across the island of Ireland.

Congressman Brendan Boyle, Congressman David Joyce and Washington Commanders Head Coach Dan Quinn were honored. Taoiseach Micheál Martin TD attended and addressed those gathered as part of his St. Patrick’s Day visit to the United States.

“For over three decades this gathering has been the beating heart of St. Patrick’s week in Washington DC. This year it is the capstone of an extraordinary week in America’s capital, a week in which the enduring bonds between Ireland and the United States have been affirmed and celebrated,” said the Taoiseach as he spoke to the sold-out room. “I want to say a heartfelt thank you to The Ireland Funds which serves as a powerful force for good, strengthening communities, and fostering opportunity right across the island of Ireland.”

Honorary Chairs of the 2025 event were H.E. Geraldine Byrne Nason, Ambassador of Ireland to the U.S.; H.E. Lord Mandelson, British Ambassador to the U.S.; and Richard Cushnie, Director, Northern Ireland Bureau. Chief Anchor of BBC News Caitriona Perry served as the evening’s Gala Emcee. Thank you to our incredible friends, supporters, Sponsors, Honorary Congressional Co-Chairs and National Gala Chairs for making this Gala such a success.
