On Monday, October 16th, our Philadelphia supporters came out for a great day of golf, camaraderie and fundraising for The Ireland Funds.
The outing took place, once again, at the stunning Philadelphia Cricket Club in Flourtown, just outside of the city.
Before hitting the links of the Wissahickon course, the supporters enjoyed a breakfast buffet and received their gift bags from Peter Millar while mingling with Congressman Pat Meehan of Pennsylvania and Congressman Tom Rooney of Florida.
After welcome remarks from Pat Tully, the golfers headed out for a challenging day on one of the oldest courses in the United States.
Following a cocktail reception with Pennsylvania Congressmen Brendan Boyle and Brian Fitzpatrick, the guests sat for dinner and heard from our friend Sean McMenamin of the Commodore Barry Center about the plans the center has to further their commitment to the Philadelphia Irish-American Community
Pat Tully then led a spirited live auction and gave out the golf awards to the winning teams.
Special thanks to presenting sponsor, Duane Morris and Ireland Funds America Board Director, Mike Gallagher.
