On Thursday June 9th, The London Young Leader Society hosted a Wine Reception at the magnificent One Great George Street in the heart of Westminster, London. 100 guests gathered to sample Doran Vineyards’ outstanding South African wines and to learn about the work of The Ireland Funds.
Mark Carrigan, Managing Director of The Ireland Fund of Great Britain, welcomed everyone and introduced Marcus Walsh and Edward O’Hare, Co-Chairs of the London Young Leaders. Marcus & Edward gave a brief presentation on the work of The Ireland Funds and the role of being a Young Leader within the organisation, its global reach and its positive impact on Irish causes.
Following that, Edwin Doran, of the renowned Doran Vineyards, gave an informative, yet witty, introduction to a few of his favourite wines to the fascinated crowd. There was a great energy and excitement in the room as the evening continued.
