For the second year running The ireland Fund of France provided a bursary which was shared by 2 students at
the annual Clandeboye Festival – Camerata Ireland’s Summer Festival which takes place in the estate of Lady
Dufferin, Bangor, Co Down.
The award allows the student to study or undertake professional development in
France. The 2012 recipients were clarinetist Leonie Bluett from Kilkenny and violinist Jennifer Murphy from
Dundalk, Co Louth.
Leonie plans to use the award to attend the 2013 pablo Casals Festival in Prades and to
study with clarinetist Michel Lethiec. Jennifer plans to use the award to take part in masterclasses at the
Académie internationale de Musique Maurice Ravel.
