The 10th Annual Philadelphia Golf Classic was held at The Philadelphia Cricket Club on September 12, 2011. At the event, Temple University Men’s Basketball Coach Fran Dunphy was given the 2011 Leadership Award. Coach Dunphy spoke about the importance of “making a difference” and said that he was “honored to be with the AIF, an organization that does make a difference.” The coach has made a difference in the lives of hundreds of players in his career and also dedicates his time and energy to Coaches versus Cancer.
The outing was chaired by Patrick Laphen, senior vice president at Susquehanna Bank. Ward Fitzgerald, a former chair and active committee member, was recognized for his years of outstanding service and dedication.
Patrick Tully, AIF New York Regional Director and Director of the International Young Leaders, gave an update on the Fund and also served as auctioneer for the live auction.
