A wonderful evening was had by over 60 Australian Ireland Fund supporters at our ‘Young Leaders Meet the Board’ event, which took place on 11the October.
It was the first event for our new Chairman John O’Neill AO and he said it was wonderful to see so many young people engaged with the charity. John spoke about his background and his reasons for getting involved with the Australian Ireland Fund – Ireland is going through a troubling economic period in recent history – it is time for us to give something back. John then introduced the Board members who were present.
We then heard from Young Leader Fiona Tuite who gave a lively account of her time at the recent Ireland Fund Conference in Cork. Many thanks to David Murray and Deloitte for hosting this event.
