On Thursday, 28 November 2013, the Australian Ireland Fund Young Leaders wrapped up the year with their Christmas Celebration at the spectacular Opera Bar. The venue treated a large number of guests to delicious canapés all served beneath stunning views of the Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge.
The event gave the Australian Ireland Fund Young Leaders and their guests the opportunity to catch up & network over a drink or two to celebrate the start of the Christmas season whilst supporting the philanthropic work of the Australian Ireland Fund.
On the night a raffle was held to raise funds for the Australian Ireland Fund's flagship charities, namely Darndale Children's Camp and Barnardos in Ireland. A large number of raffle prizes had been kindly donated by a number of organisations such as Taste Sydney, ARN, Bondi Bathers, Magners and a number of others. Congratulations to all winners and our sincere thanks to everyone who supported the raffle on the night. The Young Leaders are very grateful to all of our sponsors.
A special thanks to Australian Ireland Fund Director Peter Ryan and Bruce Solimon of Opera Bar for providing and hosting such a stylish evening.
Special guests on the day also included Consul General Caitriona Ingoldsby and Executive Director Teresa Keating.
The celebration turned out to be a fabulous event on a balmy sunny evening for the Australian Ireland Fund Young Leaders and was no doubt an indication of the quality of the Young Leaders' network in Sydney and their ability to host a fun event!
