Great Britain St. Patrick’s Day Celebration 2017

On Thursday 16 March the celebrations for St Patrick’s Day began in London with The Noble Call hosted by The Ireland Funds Great Britain Young Leaders.

St. Andrew’s Church in Holborn was a stunning setting for the St Patrick’s Day Celebration showcasing an array of Irish talent. The evening began with a warm welcome from BBC host Maggie Doyle, and was followed by outstanding performances from internationally acclaimed songstress Eimear Quinn, the Maguire-O’Shea School of Irish Dancers, Ambassador Daniel Mulhall reading Ulysses, Minister Richard Bruton, the Metropolitan Police Pipes & Drums Band, Violinist Christopher Quaid, Pianist Fionnuala, actor Paul Mallon and acoustic band Track Dogs.

To the delight of guests, Guinness was available on tap in between performances, and oyster shuckers circulated the room with delicious fresh Irish oysters kindly provided by Carlingford Oyster Company.

Thanks to our wonderful supporters and friends in London, it was a night that not only celebrated the very best of Ireland but raised support for Irish-related charities and causes.
