A Sense of Ireland 2023 – A Celebration of Ireland in Singapore!

The Ireland Funds Singapore invites you to join us for a ‘Sense of Ireland’ – a series of charitable events bringing Irish and Singaporean communities together to celebrate Irish culture, food, the arts, and sports during March 2023, and to raise funds for The Ireland Funds Singapore. Donations from all events will support our Beneficiaries in Singapore in the areas of community development, education, arts and culture, and sports.

Our Sense of Ireland 2023 includes Irish-themed set lunches and afternoon teas, Michelin Star Nua Irish Dining, St. Patrick’s Family Day, Screening of documentary film about Brother Joseph McNally, sports activities, and Irish dance workshop – there’s something for everyone!

Afternoon Tea with Irish-themed Delights and Local Favourites at the Goodwood Park Hotel

Sat – Sun: 11am – 1pm / 1.30pm – 3.30pm / 4pm – 6pm

In support of The Ireland Funds Singapore for a ‘Sense of Ireland’, L’Espresso at Goodwood Park Hotel is serving a specially curated Afternoon Tea with Irish-themed Delights and Local Favourites for a limited time only. Spend a leisurely day indulging in specials like Oven-roasted Irish Duck, Colcannon Lamb Shepherd’s Pie, Guinness Beef Stew and more!

Mon – Thu: $68++ per adult / $40.80 per child (6-11 years)
Fri – Sun: $72++ per adult / $43.20++ per child (6-11 years)

For each full-priced buffet (adult) sold from 1 to 17 March, 10% will be donated to The Ireland Funds Singapore by Goodwood Park Hotel.

Goodwood Park Hotel is also offering an exclusive selection of Irish Beef at the Gordan Grill as well as succulent Irish Duck at Min Jiang as part of their celebration of Ireland in March.

Enjoy a fun afternoon of entertainment and activities for kids at our St Patrick’s Family Day at L’Espresso’s Poolside Terrace at Goodwood Park Hotel, indulging in Afternoon Tea with Irish-themed Delights and Local Favourites, and a Kids’ Afternoon Tea buffet. Irish dancing and lots of fun activities for kids including face painting, balloon sculpting, arts & craft, and more!

Screening of “Brother Joe” documentary film celebrating the life and work of Brother Joseph McNally, founder of LASALLE College of the Arts. Irish by birth and Singaporean by choice, the film provides a unique insight into the man behind the cloth, the educator, and the artist – the inspiring and much loved ‘Brother Joe’. Post-screening Q&A panel discussion.

Directed by James Khoo, supported by The Ireland Funds Singapore under The McNally Legacy at LASALLE College of the Arts and the National Heritage Board.

Irish Dancing – Parent-Child Workshops

Saturday 4 March, 2pm – 3pm

As part of Sense of Ireland celebration, Irish Inspirational Dance invites you to experience Irish dancing in a fun and relaxed environment! This Parent-Child workshop is open for kids and adults with or without any dance experience! Suggested for children aged 3-8 years old.

$10 per parent/child registered.

Dragon Boat Experience on the Banks of Kallang River

Find out more about dragon boating in Singapore and enjoy a fun afternoon on the Kallang River with the Gaelic Dragons! A chance to try your hand at Dragon boating, learning basic techniques, ‘paddling’ on the river, and a friendly boat race! By registration only.

Gaelic Football Blitz!

Interested to learn more about Gaelic Football, one of Ireland’s national sports? Come down, watch and support Gaelic Football Blitz, a Gaelic football tournament hosted by the Singapore Gaelic Lions including SGL, local and international schools, and other sports clubs. Clubs or teams interested in participating are welcome!
