Board members, donors and members of The Ireland Funds WineGeese Society from around the country gathered on October 21st in New York’s fabled 21 Club.
Dedicated to celebrating Ireland’s contribution to viticulture, the WineGeese society includes some of the Funds’ top donors. It was an opportunity not only for deepening friendship and connections but also to focus on supporting Irish projects and causes.
The gathering in the 21 Club was no exception with longstanding Board Director, Bill McNally, being admitted to the Society in recognition of his years of service to the Fund.
The second edition of the Society’s award-winning publication on Ireland’s place in the history of wine, A Kingdom of Wine, was launched with editor Elisabet Bordt being the guest of honor. The WineGeese’s motto ‘from wine what wondrous friendship springs’ was the guiding spirit of the evening.
