On Saint Patrick’s Day, 2017 six-hundred Irish Pittsburghers (and those who wish they were Irish) gathered at Heinz Field to celebrate the work of The Ireland Funds and to honor PNC Executive Vice President and Special Advisor to the Chairman Sy Holzer for his contributions to the Pittsburgh community and The Ireland Funds. A VIP reception featured a presentation with Howard Fineman, editorial director of the Huffington Post, and a long-time friend of Sy. Presenting The Ireland Funds Chairman’s Award to Sy was David Malone, Pittsburgh Gala Chairman.
As is tradition, Pittsburgh Steelers President Art Rooney II, offered a toast. Also in attendance were Kieran McLoughlin, Worldwide President & CEO of The Ireland Funds and Pittsburgh Gala Committee members Charles Bogosta, Andrea Carelli, Mike Denove, Ryan Huzjak, Tom Miller, David Morehouse, and Greta Rooney.
