On Monday, November 17th our New York Young Leader Global Patrons got together with members of the NJ golf committee to celebrate the success of the outing and the opening of the new Flagship Peter Millar Store on Madison Avenue in New York City.
This is Peter Millar’s first retail store in Manhattan and we opened it up in style with a private shopping event and cocktail party.
Despite the horrendous weather conditions outside, many supporters braved the elements to enjoy a cocktail, see some friends and hear the latest from the Promising Ireland Campaign.
While the supporters browsed the store, sipped cocktails and noshed on hors d’oeuvres, Worldwide Ireland Funds President and CEO, Kieran McLoughlin spoke about the success of our recent golf outings and that between New York and Philadelphia, over $300,000 had been raised for the campaign.
Kieran then handed it over to Pat Tully, National Director of the Young Leaders who thanked NJ Golf Chairman Pat Leahy with making the outing the most successful to date and for connecting us with the Peter Millar who sponsored the shirts which we gave to our golfers as gifts. Pat also thanked our good friends at Jameson and Pernod Ricard for providing the spirits for the evening’s event.
Pat then introduced Philip Michael from Peter Millar who welcomed our supporters, presented them with a special discount for the evening and offered everyone a gift bag as a thank you.
