New York Annual Dinner Gala Kickoff Reception 2014

The 2014 New York Dinner Gala was kicked off in the elegant New York Palace. Over 100 guests were welcomed by President & CEO Kieran McLoughlin who announced this year’s Dinner Co-Chairs; Shaun Kelly, Vice Chair- Operations, KPMG and Tom Quinlan, President & CEO, RR Donnelly and that the honoree for this year’s event, Duncan Niederauer, CEO, New York Stock Exchange for his commitment to the Fund’s vital work in Ireland.

Dinner Co-Chair, Shaun Kelly spoke of the importance of this dinner, the largest of the 100 events the Fund organizes globally, to Ireland and Irish America.  The new Chairman of The American Ireland Fund, John Fitzpatrick thanked all the guests for supporting this crucial dinner and encouraged everyone to attend the Gala dinner on May 8th.

Prior to the reception, over thirty members of the Dinner Committee gathered for their first meeting to embark on driving and promoting the dinner. With a target of $2.6 million, the Dinner Committee will be the backbone of the dinner which will provide funding for the Grant Round to help us support close to 200 charities across the island of Ireland.
