The American Ireland Fund is a philanthropic network that supports worthy causes in Ireland promoting programs
of peace and reconciliation, arts and culture, education and community development throughout the island of Ireland.
Founded in 1976, The Worldwide Ireland Funds currently operate in 12 countries and have raised over $430 million
for more than 1,200 outstanding organizations.

The Worldwide Ireland Funds launched the Promising Ireland campaign in 2009 with an initial goal of raising $100
million by 2013. This was revised to $140 million in June, 2012 by which time the original goal had been exceeded.The campaign’s title – Promising Ireland – reflects The Worldwide Ireland Funds’ pledge to deliver for Ireland as well
as their belief in Ireland’s future. So far, over 350 outstanding projects and organizations have received support from
the Promising Ireland campaign.

Pier A Slip 6 is located 250 yards South of The Ritz Carlton at Battery Park. The closest cross streets to the pier are West
Street and Battery Place. If needed, there is a parking garage across the street from The Ritz Carlton. If you are traveling
by subway take the 4 or 5 train to Bowling Green and walk South.
