Bob Garrett

New York Office Managing Partner, KPMG LLP

Bob Garrett is the Managing Partner for KPMG LLP’s New York metropolitan area.

He is responsible for all aspects of developing and implementing the firm’s strategic direction in its largest market. He oversees delivering high-quality client service, and driving KPMG’s culture of high performance, ethics and integrity, innovation, and diversity. He also serves as account executive for many of KPMG’s largest clients.

Active in corporate governance, Bob has served as a moderator for KPMG’s Audit Committee Institute New York Roundtable Series, facilitator at Corporate Board Member’s Annual Boardroom Summit, and authored articles for KPMG’s industry newsletters.

He is a 2009 David Rockefeller Fellow, and in addition to his great support of The Ireland Funds, he is active in a number of civic and community organizations including British American Business (vice chairman), Lincoln Center Corporate Fund board, the Cardinal’s Committee for Charity, the RAND Center for Corporate Ethics and Governance, the Oswego College Foundation, the Accountant’s Coalition (New York chair), and the Association for a Better New York. Bob earned a B.S. degree from State University of New York at Oswego, and an M.B.A. degree from Columbia University
