Melbourne Young Leaders Rebels v Cheetahs Event 2016

The Melbourne Young Leaders and The Australian Ireland Fund would like to thank all guests who came out on Friday night to support the Rebels in their win over the Cheetahs. A comprehensive Rebels win and Irish Music from Pat McKiernan, was the perfect start to the Anzac long weekend.

A big thank you to Mike Harris & Michael Snowden from the Rebels who provided the inside scoop on their predictions pre-game and let us in on a few special moments shared between Coach Tony McGahan and Young Leader Committee Member, Eoin Toolan, head analyst for the Rebels. Gavin Lawless was also on hand to provide his predictions and insights for Ireland’s upcoming Tour of South Africa. Coach McGahan and Irish Rebels prop Jamie Hagan arrived after the game for an enjoyable post match interview.

Thanks also go to James Slattery for kindly volunteering to host a live auction on the night. James sold a signed Rebels jersey and an “Inner Sanctum” experience, donated by the Melbourne Rebels as well as a Land Rover Experience provided by Melbourne City Land Rover.

A big congratulations to business card draw winner Matt Kearney who walked away with a Penfolds Shiraz, Diamuid Killeen who will now lead a stress-less life with his new Pip device and Sarah Hanley who took home a bottle of Teelings Whiskey with the closest guess in the Correct Score Competition.

Finally a huge thank you to Eoin Toolan and the Melbourne Rebels who provided us with the exclusive space for our pre and post-match celebrations, as well as Platinum Seating to make sure guests had a perfect view.
