On behalf of our Chairman and Board of Directors of the Australian Ireland Fund we ask you for your continuing support of the Fund and our activities by taking a table at our upcoming annual Melboue Gala Luncheon. With great food, entertainment and company it will be an enjoyable afteoon, at the same time as supporting people less fortunate than ourselves.

We are all aware that Ireland is experiencing the most challenging economic period in decades and we are familiar with the hurdles to be overcome.  However while that recovery takes place, those people on the margins of society will be the most vulnerable. The Worldwide Ireland Funds have mobilized with an ambitious fundraising goal to practically respond to the overwhelming need that currently exists.

Here in Australia, with your help we continue to provide vital support for reconciliation and integrated education in Northe Ireland where still only 6% of children are educated in an integrated environment.  Last year we also supported a further 7 projects in Northe Ireland and 2 in Southe Ireland through initiatives focused on supporting, mentoring and engaging young people and families.

We are also working to assist reconciliation in Australia through the provision of quality education to disadvantaged indigenous young Australians.   In association with the Australian Indigenous Education Foundation we have committed to 8 Scholarships in four different schools for a five year term.

With your help our Melboue event last year was a success socially and financially and I would encourage you to stay with us and continue that support by attending our event.
