At the sold-out event, VIP guests included Her Excellency Ambassador Barrington, Her Imperial Highness Princess Takamado, Irish Minister Paschal O’Donoghue, two Miss Worlds, Irish designer Paul Costelloe and Japanese star rugby player Akihito Yamada.
‘The 2017 Emerald Ball was chosen to be a commemorative event of the 60th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Ireland and Japan. It was a tremendous occasion for Irish and Japanese to come together and celebrate this connection while also raising funds for worthy causes that support the Ireland-Japan relationship.
