Ireland – Ireland Funds Spring Gala 2014

On Friday April 25th, 275 guests filled the ballroom at the Four Seasons Hotel, Dublin for The Ireland Funds Spring Gala.

Caitlin Duffy, Director of The Ireland Funds Young Leaders welcomed all the guests and kicked off the evening by introducing Avril McHugh, of CPL Resources, and the Chair of this inaugural 2014 event. Avril introduced the Chairman of The American Ireland Fund, John Fitzpatrick. John spoke about the importance of The Ireland Funds' work and his own personal journey in both business and philanthropy.

In his first event since becoming the new Chair of The Ireland Funds Young Leaders, Alan Foy, took to the stage next. Alan spoke about his own reasons for getting involved with The Ireland Funds and asked others to take a few minutes to watch The Ireland Funds Promising Ireland Campaign video and learn more about the impact made by donors and The Ireland Funds to over 600 organizations. Caitlin Duffy wrapped up the speeches by thanking all who made the event possible.

Caitlin made sure to remind the guests of the spectacular prizes available to them! Kildare Village was thanked for their event sponsorship and donation of a €1,000 voucher for one lucky guest. Guests were also reminded of their unique opportunity to win a €2,000 diamond from our friends at Voltaire Diamonds. 50 keys were for sale with only 1 key opening the vault that contained the spectacular prize. Guests made a mad dash to ensure those interested didn’t miss out on their chance for a key and the chance to win. Special thanks to Voltaire Diamonds, Merrion Vaults and Kildare Village for these prizes.

After dinner musical entertainment was provided by the MOOGS, who kept the dance floor full all evening.

A special thank you to our event sponsors, IPB insurance, Eversheds, and Kildare Village whose support helped make this night such a success and to the committee who helped drive all aspects of the event.

We thank all of our guests and donors for their continued support, it is greatly appreciated.
