Anne Enright joins list of great Irish writers as she receives The Ireland Funds AWB Vincent Literary Award
Irish writer Anne Enright has joined luminaries from the literary world such as Seamus Heaney, Austin Clarke and Colum McCann after receiving The Ireland Funds AWB Vincent Literary Award on June 21, 2018.
Enright was presented with the award by fellow author Marie Heaney, wife of the late Seamus Heaney, at a gathering at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Co. Limerick as part of the four day annual conference of The Ireland Funds.
Enright’s widely-recognized works include The Portable Virgin,Taking Pictures,Yesterday’s Weather,The Wig My Father Wore, What Are You Like?, The Pleasure of Eliza Lynch, The Gathering,The Forgotten Waltz, Green Road and Making Babies: Stumbling into Motherhood.
