On Monday 17 June, The Ireland Funds launched the George Moore Scholars Alumni Network and welcomed the incoming scholars who will embark on their studies in September 2024. 60+ new students and 13 continuing students will undertake their Masters studies in the US, Australia, UK and Europe in the 2024/25 academic year.
The event provided an opportunity for Scholars across different cohorts to exchange ideas, discuss their work and sow seeds for future collaborations. The 70+ attendees enjoyed a panel discussion with both alumni and new scholars; breakout rooms where they discussed big issues they care deeply about such as climate action, pressing global health trends, and technological innovation; and small table discussions to network further.
