Patrick Tully, National Director of The American Ireland Fund Young
Leaders Society, flew into Dallas April 12th to attend the Dallas Young
Leaders’ gathering at Trinity Hall. He spoke to a packed audience about
the work of the Fund and the commitment of the Young Leaders nationwide
to giving back to Ireland.
In keeping with their Patron Mike
Corboy’s philosophy of keeping the fun in philanthropy, the evening was
made especially entertaining with a performance by U2 Tribute band
“Artificial Baby” featuring Pavel Sfera as “Bono”. “Bono” flew in for
the event from San Diego where he had performed at the San Diego Young
Leader St Patrick’s party. None other than our own Young Leader Dr
Caitriona Ryan, who had attended that event, persuaded him to come to
Dallas. Pat Tully spoke of the upcoming annual conference of The
Ireland Funds being held in Cork in June, 2012. It is expected that
several representatives from Dallas will attend.
