On the occasion of the 2016/2017 revival of “The Beauty Queen of Leenane” performing at the Hong Kong Arts Festival, The Ireland Funds China was delighted to host a celebratory dinner at the Hong Kong Island Shangri-La Hotel for the full cast and crew of the multi-award-winning Druid Theatre.
Artistic Director, Garry Hynes gave attendees unique insight behind this successful production. Bill Condon of The Ireland Funds China interviewed leading actors Aisling O’Sullivan and Aaron Monaghan.
The evening also marked the launch of 2017 Darkness Into Light Hong Kong event in aid of Pieta House in Ireland and the Suicide Crisis Intervention Centre operated by the Samaritan Befrienders in Hong Kong.
