Set against the stunning 360 degree panorama of Chicago at night, a sold out crowd of Young Leaders celebrated the 3rd Annual Winter Green Gala on the 99th floor of the Willis Tower.
In addition to meeting new friends, dancing, and winning great raffle and auction prizes, the Young Leaders honored Chicago Bear Robbie Gould, the fourth most accurate place kicker in NFL history, with the 2013 Young Leaders Leadership Award.
Young Leaders from other chapters across the country including Tara McCabe, the chair of the New York Young Leaders, joined the celebration. Pat Tully, the National Chair of the Young Leaders, welcomed everyone and gave an update on the Young Leaders worldwide. Several members of the Regional Board including Former Ambassador Jim Kenny, his wife Margaret, Gavin and Caroline Tierney and Ted Brombach shared in the excitement of the evening.
Georgina Flood, a renowned graphic artist from Dublin, displayed several of her drawings and donated her Graphite Painting – “Shades of Peace” portrait of John Lennon- to the auction.
Artist Eric Cash also donated his giclee Print of George Harrison to the auction.
Another highlight of the evening was the exclusive access to the Skydeck- a glass floor observation box – that extends out 4 feet from the 103rd floor.
