On Saturday, March 4th, 2017 The Ireland Funds Chicago Young Leaders hosted their signature event, the 7th Annual Green Gala.
Approximately 200 Young Leaders and supporters of The Ireland Funds gathered at the contemporary, loft party space, CHEZ, to enjoy a night of fun, friends and fundraising for Irish charities.
Event Chairwoman, Meghan Lee, welcomed the guests. Bridget Monahan was honored for her service as the Chair of the Chicago Young Leaders.
Pat Tully, the National Director of the Young Leaders, gave an overview of the work of The Ireland Funds supporting Irish nonprofits across the island of Ireland. He also encouraged guests to see that support first-hand by attending the upcoming Annual Ireland Funds’ Conference in Ireland and he gave an update on the recent Young Leaders’ Summit in NYC. Pat then conducted the live auction which included a trip to Ireland thanks to our sponsors United Airlines, Sheen Falls Lodge and Ireland’s Blue Book.
Katie Nallon and Kat Woodruff made sure there were plenty of silent auction items, secured by the Steering Committee, for folks to bid on.
Hyde Whiskey hosted a whiskey and Kalak vodka tasting table to enjoy while perusing the auction tables.
Chicago’s own Shannon Rovers Irish Pipe Band added to the festivities with their stirring performance.
Priority Entertainment kept the Young Leaders on their feet dancing to the tunes of DJ Phil.
At the end of the evening, the guests were invited to an after party at Timothy O’Tooles.
The Young Leaders had a great evening while supporting the vital work of The Ireland Funds.
