On Saturday, March 7, over 200 members and supporters of the Chicago Young Leaders kicked off the St. Patrick’s Day season in style at the sold out, Fifth Annual Green Gala held on the 99th floor of the Willis Tower.
In addition to stunning views of the city, the Young Leaders enjoyed delicious hors d’oeuvres, small plates, libations ( compliments of Two Gingers and Miller-Coors), dancing to DJ Chicago and a lively auction and raffle for incredible prizes.
National Director of The Young Leaders, Pat Tully, not only served as emcee for the evening, but also the auctioneer encouraging spirited bidding from the group. Later, one of the highlights of the evening was remarks by Reverend Bill Shaw, Director of the 174 Trust in Belfast. He spoke of the impact The American Ireland Fund has had on his mission of peace and reconciliation, and thanked the Young Leaders for supporting The American Ireland Fund and making his work possible.
The partygoers then continued, moving on to the Gage Restaurant, overlooking Millennium Park.
The Young Leaders would especially like to thank their sponsors for making this evening possible.
