The second annual Blas evening was an intimate event celebrating Irish culture, style and taste.
Acclaimed author Roddy Doyle was the evening’s special guest and supporters werecaptivated as Roddy spoke about his writing style, what motivated him to become an author and where he gets the inspiration for his work. Guests were then treated to a reading of “Animals” from Roddy’s collection of short stories, Bull Fighting.
The night was tremendously successful with proceeds benefiting Fighting Words in Dublin and the 174 Trust in Belfast.
A special thank you to the volunteers who organized the event, Dermot Muir, Rodney Hill, Joanne Kearney, Steven Pedlow and Cathy Murphy.
