The Ireland Fund of China – Hong Kong
The Ireland Fund of China are delighted that the number of participants from The Irish Run the World in 2015, Hong Kong’s first year, increased significantly in 2016. This year we had 95
supporters walk or run (including one stilt walker and numerous pram pushers and dog walkers!) up at the famous and picturesque Victoria Peak. Sixty of those stayed on to enjoy the post-run brunch making it a family-friendly social event that everyone enjoyed immensely.
We are very proud of our fastest male Ian Casey completing the 5k in 18:18 and Olya Korzh completing it in 19:48. We had some VIPs turn up on the day, some four-legged friends from the Hong Kong Guide Dogs, Peter Ryan, Consul General of Ireland to Hong Kong and Macau, Donal Boylan, Chairman of The Ireland Fund of China and most importantly Ciaran Love our stilt walker from No Name Events.
Thanks to all the Irish and friends of Irish who participated in the Hong Kong leg of the 5k this year as we proudly passed the baton from Brisbane onto London. Until 2017 folks, keep training!
