Great Britain – Women in Business & Philanthropy Lunch

The fourth annual Women in Business & Philanthropy Lunch at the Waldorf Hilton London brought together an exceptional community of leaders, changemakers and advocates.

In a compelling conversation, Anne Heraty, Chair and iNED, joined Eavan Saunders, Managing Partner at Dentons Ireland, to reflect on what it truly means to be a trailblazer in business and leadership – from courage and conviction to lifting others as you rise.

We were also proud to honour Louise Kennedy, recipient of The Ireland Funds Great Britain Outstanding Contribution to Literature Award. In conversation with the brilliant Mariella Frostrup, Louise shared a moving reflection on discovering your creative voice later in life and building resilience through every chapter.

The event celebrated the remarkable women-led and women-focused charities supported by The Ireland Funds, with special recognition for The Parent Rooms – an organisation providing vital peer support for parents facing mental health challenges, helping families navigate crisis and build long-term strength and empowerment.

As Bridget Walsh, Chair of The Ireland Funds Great Britain, reminded us, this day is about celebrating the success and generosity of women. And in the words of Katie Jemmett, Executive Director: “The numbers are impressive, but behind each one is a real person whose life has been transformed by your generosity.”

Our sincere thanks to our lead sponsor, Dentons, to our inspiring speakers, Anne Heraty, Eavan Saunders, Louise Kennedy, Mariella Frostrup, Brid Brennan, Chloe McVey at The Parent Rooms and our brilliant MC, Kathryn B Wilson. A special thanks to our dedicated Lunch Committee, and to everyone who donated prizes and supported the day.

Together, we raised vital funds to empower women and strengthen communities. We are grateful to all who attended and made the afternoon such a meaningful success.
