On a beautiful summer evening, over 100 supporters of The Ireland Funds gathered at The Dubliner for The Boston Young Leaders Summer Social.
Boston Young Leaders Co-Chairs Colleen Kelly, Sean Hannigan, and John Flaherty welcomed everyone to the event. They highlighted not only the impacts that the Young Leaders had made for organizations across the island of Ireland, but also the local organizations that benefited from the success of Boston Young Leaders events in 2024. These included The Irish Pastoral Centre, St. Anthony’s Shrine – The Rita A. DiMento Women’s Clinic, and The Boys & Girls Club of Dorchester.
Mickey Chapple, a Young Leader Committee Member and volunteer at The Boys & Girls Club of Dorchester, expressed deep gratitude for the support received from The Ireland Funds. He emphasized how even a small contribution can significantly transform lives.
Attendees were treated to an exciting door prize courtesy of Josh Bhatti from Bowery Presents, who generously offered two tickets to the Seisiun, an upcoming two-day Irish music festival on September 6 and 7 at Suffolk Downs. Congratulations to Joe Murphy from Sullivan Insurance Group, the lucky winner!
The co-chairs thanked everyone for their support and commended the hard work and dedication of the Young Leaders Committee in advancing the mission of The Ireland Funds. They wished all a happy summer and to watch for upcoming events in the fall.
