As the sun set over Cape Cod Bay, The Ireland Funds Cape Cod Celebration was in full swing on the Ocean Terrace at The Mansion at Ocean Edge. The evening was generously hosted by The Ireland Funds America Board Director Suzanne Corcoran and the Corcoran family.
Over 100 guests attended, and Suzanne extended a warm welcome on behalf of the Corcoran Family to both new and longtime friends of The Ireland Funds.
Suzanne spoke of her recent trip to Ireland, particularly her visit to Belfast, where she had an opportunity to witness the impact of organizations funded by The Ireland Funds working towards reconciliation and integration. She spoke passionately about how transformative these grants made by The Ireland Funds were in bringing about change and uniting local communities.
President & CEO of The Ireland Funds, Caitriona Fottrell, spoke of the special friendship the Corcoran family has shared with The Ireland Funds and expressed her joy at seeing so many generations of The Ireland Funds’ supporters at the event. She thanked donors for their support and highlighted an example of their impact: next month, over 350 students from schools across the island of Ireland will attend college through The Ireland Funds No Mind Left Behind scholarship program. This illustrated the power of giving and the difference it makes to so many lives.
Guests in attendance included Chair of The Ireland Funds America Board Gene McQuade and his wife Peggy as well as fellow Board Directors Kip Condron, Kate Barton, and Suzanne Corcoran.
It was a beautiful summer evening made all the more special by those who attended, all in support of The Ireland Funds’ ongoing work across the island of Ireland.
