The Sydney Young Leaders finished 2019 in style with our end of year drinks at the iconic Opera Bar on 14 November. The Young Leaders’ Sydney Soirée was a complimentary event to thank our members and friends for their support in 2019 and reflecting on a successful year.
100 friends of the Fund, both old and new joined us to bask in the sunshine and to enjoy the stunning views of the harbour; and like with any good catch up, the drinks flowed as did the conversations. Guests were also treated to some delicious canapés courtesy of the Opera Bar.
Young Leader, Orla Hennessy addressed the crowd thanking them for their support and generosity in 2019, by attending our events such as the Corporate Breakfast and Global 5K and helping the Young leaders in Australia to make grants of $37,000 for our nominated charities in June 2019. She added that The Young Leaders’ Sydney Soirée was another opportunity to give back and to transform the lives of young people in Ireland and Australia, by donating, becoming a member, or by purchasing raffle tickets.
The event was proudly sponsored by Lifestyle Solutions. We had some amazing raffle prizes up for grabs that were generously donated by: Meanwhile Salon, Linda Kelly Illustrations, Hello Drinks, Headoffice Hair Specialist, Bondi Lash & Beauty Clinic, Taste Ireland. We are delighted to have raised $1,600 on the night. Funds raised at Young Leader events are vital to support our nominated charities, which this year are: Jigsaw, Men’s Sheds, CaraCare, Soar, Suas, & Science Gallery Melbourne.
