Katie Jemmett
Originally from Dublin, Katie joined The Ireland Funds Great Britain in July. Her background is in marketing & business development and she has lived in London for seven years. A change of career in 2014 saw her move to the charity sector and join the fundraising team at London Transport Museum where she oversaw the growth of their successful Corporate Membership scheme.
“The Ireland Funds is a wonderful warm organisation to work for, and its mission of supporting charitable causes in Great Britain, Ireland and around the world really appealed to me,” she said. “There are so many amazing stories and deserving causes; and as an ex-pat it is an added bonus to now work closely with Irish people and organisations here and at home.”
Emily Bohill
Emily Bohill became a Trustee of The Ireland Funds Great Britain in 2017. Emily is originally from Dublin and has lived in London for nearly 20 years. During that time she has founded three businesses (and had three children).
She started Bohill Partners in 2008, a firm that helps real asset investors to build and retain best-in-class teams in Europe.
Emily leads senior searches and complex advisory mandates. She graduated from Trinity College, Dublin and St. Petersburg State University with an MA in Business and Russian. She is also on the board of Thornhill Primary School Foundation.
A family link with the founder of Co-operation Ireland inspired her interest in the work of The Ireland Funds Great Britain and the idea that you can create progress through philanthropy.
Commenting on her appointment Emily said: “A rich history, a fantastic mission and the chance to work alongside inspirational people – what’s not to love about The Ireland Funds Great Britain? I am delighted (and excited!) to be involved.”
Eoin Bastible
Eoin Bastible also joined the Ireland Funds as Trustee of the Great Britain chapter in 2017.
Eoin has been living in London for the past 10 years and is also originally from Dublin.
Eoin is a law graduate from University College Dublin. He has built up a wealth of experience working in various capital-raising and business development roles for global banks and private equity real estate firms over the past 20 years. Commenting on his appointment to the Board of Trustees, Eoin said: “I have always felt strongly that my generation stands on the shoulders, hard work and toil of generations of Irish immigrants before me.
“Having paved the way for us I believe we all have a duty to give something back. I feel honoured and immensely proud to be able to get involved with the various charities and organisations The Ireland Funds Great Britain supports and look forward to engaging with the Irish community to further expand their reach here in the UK.”
