Singapore – Red Dot Green Dot 2018

RED DOT GREEN DOT 2018

Celebrating the cultures of Ireland and Singapore

Red Dot Green Dot, funded by The Ireland Funds Singapore and supporting the McNally Legacy, returned in September with a rousing showcase of talent from both the Irish and Singapore communities in a wonderful evening of culture, music and craic hosted once again at LASALLE College of the Arts,

The amazing programme of music, poetry, prose and drama ranged from beautifully haunting to riotous hilarity and included a talent from the LASALLE student body and from the Irish community.

Notable among the performers was a Sebastian Barry piece by LASALLE’s Prof. Michael Early, and we were delighted to welcome the new Irish Ambassador Patrick Bourne to Singapore and to his impressive debut on stage at the event with W B Yeats’s “The Stolen Child”. The atmospheric jazz café set up combined with the Irish traditional music skills of Gerry Cox and James Chan made for a truly memorable night.
