On Monday September 19th The Ireland Funds hosted a Leadership Forum with Ireland’s Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade, Simon Coveney. The Ireland Funds was also delighted to welcome the new Irish Ambassador to the US, Dan Mulhall along with his wife Greta, the new Consul General to New York, Ciaran Madden and Ireland’s recently appointed Ambassador to the UN, Geraldine Byrne Nason.
Minister Coveney addressed the group providing an update on the political situation in Northern Ireland along with the Irish Government’s stance on Brexit. He emphasized the importance of Irish America in advancing Ireland’s interests.
The lunch was attended by supporters of The Ireland Funds New York Dinner and New Jersey Golf Classic along with members of the New York Young Leaders who all appreciated the Minister’s deep and insightful review of these key issues.
