On May 19th, the Boston Dinner Gala Committee held its Dinner “Kick-off” on the 36th Floor of the State Street Financial building, overlooking the city. The meeting was hosted by 2014 Boston Dinner Chairman, Scott Powers, President & CEO of State Street Global Advisors. The 2014 Annual Boston Dinner Gala will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2014, once again at the Westin Waterfront Hotel. The 2014 Boston Dinner will honor Jack Connors, noted Boston businessman, entrepreneur, philanthropist and American Ireland Fund Director. Save the date!
Chairman of the Boston Regional Advisory Board Bob Reynolds opened the meeting and thanked Des Mac Intyre, the 2013 Dinner Chairman, for the 2013 Boston Dinner’s resounding success. Des also spoke and acknowledged the determination of the Committee and introduced new Chairman, Scott Powers who also announced his Vice Chairs: Andy Arnott, President & CEO of John Hancock Funds and John Hailer, President & CEO of Natixis Global Asset Management.
New England Director Steve Greeley thanked everyone for their continued efforts on behalf of the Boston Dinner and The American Ireland Fund. In addition to the Dinner Committee members, several of Boston’s Young Leaders also joined the group.
