On Saturday, July 6th, the steering committee of the Washington, DC Young Leaders chapter hosted their inaugural “Summer Social.”
The rising mercury could not keep our friends and supporters away as over 100 people showed up to the patio at Town Hall to support the work of The American Ireland Fund and learn more about the Promising Ireland campaign to assist Irish Charities.
Steering Committee chair Megan welcomed the guests to sip cocktails and check out the displays put together by Young Leader and steering committee member, Mairin Van Shura.
The evening was also a great opportunity to feature upcoming events for the DC Young Leaders, including the Young Leaders night out at Nationals Park to see the Nationals take on the Philllies and the DC chapter’s signature fundraiser “Halfway to St. Patrick’s Day” celebration on Friday, September 13th at Dumbarton House in Georgetown.
