Richard Bruton, TD, Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation
On March 5th, friends and benefactors of the AIF in Dallas gathered at The Park City Club for dinner with Minister Richard Bruton. Functioning as Ireland’s equivalent to the Secretary of Commerce, Minister Bruton is playing a critical role in Ireland’s “Celtic Comeback”. The dinner, which was co-sponsored by Enterprise Ireland, was a unique opportunity for guests to interact with a man who is working directly on the dynamic economic story which is Ireland’s turnaround.
The room was filled with both American and Irish born business people who are now corporate leaders in Dallas. This dinner was in conjunction with an Irish trade mission seeking to increase growth and opportunities for Irish companies in the US. The Minister listened intently as these corporate leaders outlined the opportunities for Irish businesses to expand into Texas.
Minister Bruton concluded the dinner by thanking those present for their insights and contributions. The Minister said it was clear that there are tremendous opportunities for a wide range of Irish companies from technology to agribusiness to start doing business in Texas.
