On October 12th, a spirited Boston Young Leaders group enjoyed a great night of Guinness, hors d’oeuvres and socializing at the Boston Young Leaders Fall Social held at The North Star, made famous by last Spring’s Bruins’ Stanley Cup run.
Thank you to Bret Kelly, the “all in” Young Leader and owner of The North Star who acted as host. Executive Director Steve Greeley spoke briefly about two projects that benefited from the 2011 Boston Young Leaders St. Patrick’s Celebration: Our Lady’s Boys’ Club in Galway and the Dorchester Boys & Girls Club in Boston. With inquiry flags flying, Ryan Chamberlain won two of the three raffle prizes . . . tickets to the 2012 Young Leaders St. Patrick’s Celebration (sure to be a sell-out) and tickets to Cherish the Ladies, a Traditional Irish Singing Group. New Young Leader Joe Wehr also won a round of golf for four at Granite Links Golf Club. By popular demand, another social is being planned.
The Boston Young Leaders are looking forward to another great St. Patrick’s Celebration next March. A very positive sign was that many new Young Leaders joined the St. Patrick’s Celebration Committee.
