Nantucket, July 30, 2011 – Over 150 people gathered at the Nantucket home of Bob and Paula Butler for The American Ireland Fund Nantucket Celebration. Among the guests attending were Bob Reynolds (President and CEO, Putnam Investments), and his wife Laura Reynolds; Maureen Orth (Vanity Fair); Jack Welch (Former Chairman and CEO, General Electric Company), and his wife Suzy Welch (author and business journalist); Jack Manning (President and CEO, Boston Capital Corporation), and his wife Lyle Howland; Bart Grenier (Chairman and CEO, The Boston Company), and his wife Lesley King Grenier and Stephen Greeley (Executive Director, The American Ireland Fund).
This year’s Nantucket Celebration was chaired by Bob and Paula Butler, Chris and Ann Quick and Bob and Laura Reynolds. The honorees were Tom and Leslie Bresette of the Nantucket Golf Club Foundation. The reception was a fundraiser for The American Ireland Fund’s support of peace and reconciliation, arts and culture, education and community development in Ireland.
