Jim Kenny, Former US Ambassador to Ireland, introduced both Mrs. McAleese and her husband3 Hon. Aidan Cronin, Dr. Martin McAleese. Niamh King, Vice President of Programs for The Chicago Council on Global Affairs, moderatedDr. Martin McAleese, Enda Meehan, Patrick Ryan the discussion. Mrs. McAleese spoke about a variety of subjects including the historic visit of Queen Elizabeth II to Ireland in May 2011; the Irish financial crisis stemming from 2008 and the expanded role for women in business and gov-ernment.
