The night was one to celebrate a great year of fundraising, networking and to honor our New York 2 Pat Tully, Suzanne O'Sullivan Young Leader of the Year Joe Tully. Joe was instrumental in all fundraisers and Friend Raisers throughout Walters, Loretta Brennan Glucksman, Rose Tully, the calendar year, including Co-Chairing the New York Young Leaders signature event, The St. PatricksJoe TullyCelebration honoring Sergeant Kevin Brennan of the NYPD. The American Ireland Fund Chairman Loretta3 Dan Forbes, Joe Tully, guest, Chris Travis, Trinity Laurel, Brennan Glucksman gave some introductory remarks and thanked Joe for his dedication to the Youngguest, Gary McSharryLeaders. Joe encouraged guests to get involved by becoming members. He also spoke about his Irish rootsin Sligo and Donegal. Joes mother Rose Tully from Donegal was in attendance to see her son accept thehonor. Two live music acts provided the entertainment for the evening, including Young Leaders favorite JohnMalone on the acoustic guitar, followed by singer, songwriter, Mary Courtney, who has performed on trackswith Black 47 and other Irish music legends. The night also included a spirited live auction and the Young Leaders then boarded coaches to attend the after party at Becketts on Stone Street.1 2 3NY Gallery Circle: A Night with Filmmaker Edward Burns DECEMBER, 2012 The Gallery Circle of The American Ireland Fund hosted a private screening of the new 1 Ed BurnsEd Burns holiday film, The Fitzgerald Family Christmas at the Tribeca Grand Hotels intimate screening room 2 Filmmaker Ed Burns (center) with AIF Board Director in New York City.The audience watched the film and was then treated to a Q & A with Ed himself. HeAnne Finucane and her sons (from left) Tom, Colin, explained that he got the inspiration for the film after working with Tyler Perry, who told him to go back to the and Nickniche that worked in the beginning of his career. The audience also learned that the family house he filmed 3 John Duddy, Ed Burns, Grainne Duddythe movie in was on the block where he spent his childhood.
